Let’s make our city beautiful

There is one more tradition in Ust-Kamenogorsk is citizens began to decorate their balconies by fresh flowers. This idea belongs to the Akimat of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.

There are special boxes which are 3 meters 20 centimeters long  and 20  centimeters wide made of wood on the state factory “Yenbek Oskemen”.

Erkyn Dzhakupov (an executive manager of Administration of the Akimat): “Now we should place these boxes at the balconies of the living quarters”. Erkyn Ganievich adds: “There are boxes, banisters and clamps made by prisoners”.

More than a half of citizens supported this idea and accepted all troubles which can happen in the course of this project. Nevertheless, there are many people who refused; they find it is hard to water flowers every day.

“Initially, we visited the central part of the city and took the citizens’ signatures”, - says Abishev. “It is summer and some of people are out of the city. I stress it again that we will establish it just with their agreement”.

It must be noticed, that within two last years the executive power tries to plant trees and gardens in the city and around the region.

The Akimat of Ust-Kamenogorsk in association with businessmen establishes different vases near the shops, private institutions and so on. They also hope that it will become a tradition.
